Care Recipient is Unwell

This information is for individuals who are caregivers to vulnerable persons, including young children, elderly or people with disabilities, who:
- Have tested positive
- Are feeling unwell. For example, they have high fever, prolonged cough, diarrhoea, etc.
- Are not on / do not qualify for Home Recovery Programme
- Need to be accompanied by a caregiver
Most cases should be on Home Recovery Programme (HRP) by default. If you are unsure, please check this page.

Immediate action

If your care recipient is unable to isolate by himself/herself, you and your care recipient should both be isolated from other household members in a room, preferably with an attached bathroom.

Do not leave your house.
What to expect
- You or your care recipient will receive an SMS with the Isolation Order (IO) for your care recipient.
- In the same SMS, there will be a link for you to provide the details of your care recipient, and register yourself and other household members as close contacts.
- You and your household members will receive a Health Risk Warning (HRW) and can refer to this page for what to do on HRW.
- You will receive a call within the next few days to schedule the transfer of your COVID-positive care recipient to an appropriate care facility.
- You should inform during the call that you will need to accompany your care recipient to the care facility.
- As you are on HRW, you should do an ART self-test before accompanying your care recipient to the care facility.
